Motorola Mobility was first bought by google for 12.5 billion dollars, which was announced in August 2011. This year, at the end of January it was announced that the company will be sold to Lenovo. With this, it became clear that Motorola was only a package of patents for Google.
In addition to the announcement from Lenovo claimed, that the trade mark and the location of it's development does not change. The headquarters stay in Chicago.
Motorola has since Google's acquisition firmly stood up up on its feet, as the markets in developing countries, such as Brazil, have an extremely good sales results.
At the same time Lenovo has a good hardware that is distinguished by it's ergonomics, which is nowadays rare among smarthphones. Lenovo also has good software support( They broke the record in speed upgrades to their mobile phones).
