Apple prototype computer for 100.000 dollars.

Shop online at eBay recently ran the first prototype PC Mac (Macintosh 128k), which Apple manufactured in January 1983. This was equipped with a floppy drive, which was aimed at 5-inch supple and soft disks. If an excessive percentage of errors, with flexible disks, the Apple engineers just before the start of sales of personal computer Macintosh 128k floppy drive replaced. They used a smaller and more reliable 3.5-inch floppy drive from Sony. This is on the shelves of shops ran at the end of January 1984.

The first prototype of Apple's Macintosh personal computer with 128k 5-inch floppy drive can store on the website eBay has bought a "mere" 100-thousand U.S. dollars or 78 thousand. In addition to the PC will still receive a prototype Macintosh keyboard with the "dresser" and a standard mouse Macintosh 128k. The "Package" is included in the original Apple power cord for PC Macintosh 128k.

The seller claims that the computer turns on without any problems and to immediately appear on the screen flashing question mark symbol next to the floppy. This suggests that it is necessary to insert a boot disk. This unfortunately is not included in the package, which means that the Macintosh 128k can not be started. However, this certainly invaluable for those who love Apple products.
